The Feasa Optical Heads are special receptacles that improve the stability of intensity measurements.
Due to the tolerance of LED position on the boards being tested, the LEDs placed on the PCBs are not always in the same position under the fibers. That small deviation in the location of the fiber over the LED could result in a high difference between the readings taken from the same LED in different boards, necessating an increase in the test limits.
For that reason, we recommend using the Feasa Optical Heads, when stable intensity measurements are a must.
The Optical Heads are provided with a special mechanical holding piece, which keeps the fiber securely on the Optical Head avoiding the use of glue, silicone or other materials that can damage the fiber. It is also very easy to release the fiber from the Optical Head, just unscrewing the mechanical holding piece.
